Explore These Must ‘Go To’ Places In The UK
So it’s nearly Easter weekend!! The 4 day long weekend when you can either stay in bed all day watching Netflix series back to back stuffing yourself with chocolate, (yes this is my plan), OR, you can make the most of the long weekend and go and explore great places around the UK. Easter weekend trips are such a great chance to escape our normal everyday routines, places, and people we see. It’s an incredible opportunity to get to know new surroundings, have some rest, experience new moments and create those memories. So, no matter if you have a partner, an entire family with either small or grown-up kids, or you have your best mate to travel with, there’s always a magnificent UK destination perfect for a short trip over the weekend. This is a very short list of places you should visit, and just perfect for an Easter trip!
The New Forest
An area where Easter will be unforgettable and where you’ll find some great local events if you’re with kids or not, is the New Forest! There are lots of activities that take place over this weekend, the events are arranged and organised in various places and villages, including Beaulieu, Lyndhurst, Burley and New Milton. Some of the events are Children’s Easter Craft Workshops, Holiday Adventure Day, Nature Treasure Hunt or Easter Afternoon Tea. If you’re without the kids then you can take some gorgeous walks which is what me and the boyfriend did when we went a few years back. I’ll never forget driving along a country road and seeing cows and sheep just hanging out together by the road! They were so calming and beautiful! So if you’re driving, be careful as some of them venture towards the middle of the road. The New Forest is a spectacular spot for having a great Easter weekend no matter if you’re traveling with family, friends or on your own

OK so this is a place that’s on my list! So many of my friends have been here and enjoyed it so much, with or without the kids so it’s a must try. Short weekend breaks, especially during Easter, are a perfect chance to choose one of five Center Parcs locations in the UK. They are Whinfell Forest, Sherwood Forest, Elveden Forest, Woburn Forest and Longleat Forest. Each of the villages gives you natural forest landscapes, a wide range of accommodation options, activities for all demands, wishes and tastes, a beach with watersports lake and a spa. Center Parcs offers peaceful and calm short breaks, and if you love your Easter to be just like that, then book yourself a short weekend holiday in one of their villages!
The English Riviera – South Devon’s Beautiful Bay
For all those who are looking for a perfect spot for a two-day romantic or adventurous escape, the area of Torquay, Babbacombe Bay, Paignton, and Brixham should definitely be on the list. You’ll enjoy amazing sceneries, never-to-be-forgotten sandy beaches and memorable attractions in the English Riviera. And if you’re looking for evening attractions and events, you’ll get great night shows such as theatre plays, concerts, and entertainment. Check out what’s happening here on the Torquay What’s on Guide. So go soak up those views of the English Riviera, relax and get involved with the local activities no matter who you’re with!
Eastbourne and the South Downs
This is a perfect match for music, history and nature lovers. Those of you who enjoy hiking will love by the beautiful South Coast resort as well as the South Downs National park. Throughout the entire year, the area of Eastbourne and the South Downs organise countless memorable events such as tributes to Bob Marley or the Beatles. Historians will enjoy visiting the Redoubt Fortress, while the Towner Art Gallery is an inevitable spot and attraction for all art lovers. And the accommodation in the area is gorgeous, especially if you stay at Edwardian homes or find somewhere to stay on Air BnB.
The Pentewan Sands is a family-oriented place on the south coast of Cornwall that will give you all you need to have a perfect Easter holiday! From indoor swimming pools, family entertainment, soft-play area and delicious food. The entire family will have the chance to enjoy watersports center, playgrounds, tennis courts, beachside restaurants and souvenir shops to grab something tacky and overpriced 😊 Pentewan Sands has a whole list of activities, and some of them include theme parks, cycling and visiting beautiful gardens. Cornwall is just a lovely place to visit in general, I love it everytime I go, so I’m sure you’ll have an amazing time!
